Increase Adsense revenue: PPC tips
| Most of you generally think that Google Adsense program pays very low price per click, but it`s not the truth and other affiliate programs will not pay you per click the higher price as Adsense. Why is that? The answer is simple - the web publishers are the same companies and they pay the same price for Ads in different affiliate programs! You have to try the following Adsense tips and test it how they work in your personal case (with your web sites) and i hope in a couple of months you can expect a increase in your overall Adsense revenues.
1. Do not stuff your web site with many Ads! Adding 3 Text Ads, 3 Link Ads & Paid Search box isn’t a good idea. Google Adsense counts one impression if a page has 3 text Ads and 3 link Ads, it’s only 1 impression for all of them.
2. Work out closely with your Adsense text blocks (After ads tests I prefer to place on my site only text Ads). Basically, you can change the colours of Adsense ads every fortnight or month in order to understand which colours combination is best for your visitors and give them a new look and feeling, browsing your site. Mix the background colour of Ads with the originally background of your site - I recommend you that!
3. Do not use 2 ad units side by side, because generally the visitors do not come back again! It`s only big illusion to belief that adding 2 Adsense ad units next to each other like 160×600 + 160×600 would give you more revenue. First of all, the CPC will be lower and this revenue can just be one time without visitor returns.
4. My understanding is Adsense will put the highest paying ads at the Top of the code, so if your code is arranged footer (ad unit), header, content (ad unit), left sidebar (ad unit) and you wanted your left sidebar to show the best ads because it’s in a hot click area you’ve got your code the wrong way around, because the best ads are going to be in the footer.
5. Block “low-price” advertisers who seems to directly advertising on your web site because this does not affect generally much on your adsense revenue. Use Adsense Competitors Filter to block them on your site. Click here to check “low-price” advertisers on your web site.
Try to use different ad colours for Ad Title, Text and URL because this can offer a better CTR, rather than the case when all these 3 have the same colour. More CTR generally does offer you more revenues. You must try it and control the different stats of your tests and decide for more profitable ad colour combination.
6. Use new styled Adsense - Google Custom Search box because this can lead to more searches as the Google Watermark is shown within the search box and many visitors cannot identlfy if this is a paid search box, it could be more invisible for visitors!
7. Generally show the Google Search Box Results on your own website by creating a special page, because this can help you make the visitor stay in your web site and this can help you make more money because the visitor may either click on any of your ad or just subscribe your feeds.
8. Control your Adsense stats every day. Create custom channels for every ad unit you add on your website and check out the performance based on the revenue: CTR, CPC, eCPM etc. You can also remove the low performing ones or try to blend them to make sure they perform well (changing ad colours, sizes etc.).
9. If you do not have a huge incoming traffic on your web site, than do not use referrals, because generally the Adsense Referrals pays you only when someone converts in the form of leads/sale and this is very low performing service. By the way, Google Adsense referals are retiring soon.
10. Avoid placing image ads, because generally they pay very less and cover the whole ad unit, when compared to text ads which have a bigger ad options and cost opportunities. By the way, the large part of internet visitors generally do not like the image ads, I tested myself and do not use it any more.
11. Invest every month small part of your Adsense revenues, which can be from 5-20% you will need this money to develop your website in terms of content, seo, ads optimizations etc. As for me, only developing web site earn big bucks with Adsense.
12. Make mobile (.mobi) version of your site / and place there Adsense for Mobile units because this can for sure help you out make some extra money when the mobile phone users, especially in USA and Canada use internet mobile phones to access your website and clicks on the ads.
